In the beginning...
Accident
If he approached without signalling,
She was not looking where she was going.
If, when he saw her, he began to accelerate,
She, when she saw him, did not apply the brake.
If, when she said he was reckless,
He said she drove him wild.
If, when they were less than cautious,
If they had avoided the child.
Embittered, they crawl from the wreckage.
If he calls it love, she will call it marriage.

Note: If today's blip is the beginning, yesterday's is the middle and the day before is the end.
