Not a butterfly on buddhlia

Today's photo was going to be of a butterfly sitting on my rather lovely deep, deep purple buddhlia but word had clearly got round the local butterfly community that there was a strange woman with a camera lying in wait for them as not one appeared. I took some nice bee photos but whilst I'm pleased with them, they're not in the league of other bee and flower shots on here.

So, this is part of my garden. It's a part that clearly thinks of itself as woodland rather suburban garden and which an estate agent would describe as "mature."

I really liked the light here - a rare moment of sunshine poked through the dark clouds.
