Contradictory stuff goin' on

So we're getting through my family fairly quickly, to be honest, there aren't many of us. This is Rushin Cousin number 2 who is getting to the age where teenagers often display a combination of showy bravado and general feeling of being ill at ease.

She loves coming to Edinburgh, I suspect she would rather live here than in Moscow, never asked her, but I will, and she is a very confident girl but while selecting a photo for today, the chain in the mouth just struck me as being too interesting to miss. It is her birthday this week.

Sadly the weather today has made it more tricky to take photos, I had to carry the camera under my tshirt such was the rainfall. That said, we ate outside which was nice went indoors and the heavens opened. I was quite glad to see the rain actually although I'm not sure why. The day was largely spent doing the exciting chores which had waited patiently for a week or so.

Afternoon the Moscovites came round for some cake and coffee, tonight it is very dark. This time next week, we are having a bit of a reunion with old neighbours, well we're not exactly old. Hopefully the weather shall be clement.

Oh and the main news today was obviously that number 1 son successfully ate some compote today. I would have taken a photo of that one, but a) I was holding him and b) I was offering moral support. Well done the wee man!
