Vigelandsparken
One of the 212 statues in Vigelandsparken (The Vigeland Park) in Oslo. Covering about 80 acres or 320,000 square metres, it's the largest sculpture park in the world to feature the work of only one artist - Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943). The bulk of the construction work for the park was completed between 1939 and 1949.
It's one of those works of public art - like some of Gaudi's work - that makes you wonder (and be thankful) that such a radical artist could have been given such scope to work in a conservative society.
A couple more shots of this strange and wonderful park can be seen here.
