Eggs!
Our small South American cichlids (Herichthys carpintis "Escondido") have laid eggs on top of their coconut shell house! The dad is defending the eggs fiercely while the mother is inside the house. When you come too close with your hands to the glass, the dad tries to attack! This is quite a funny sight, because the fish themselves are still young and quite small. Once they are adults they can grow up to 30 cm.
