Threads of many colours

A very long day yesterday meant that this is a late Blip!

Stills had its opening night of The Pursuit of Fidelity (a retrospective) by Alexander and Susan Maris. It opened at 5pm, we finished by 5pm! Tight!

It was the launch of the Edinburgh Art Festival, which I am also volunteering at, and the reception was held at Dovecot. It's an amazing space, and we had the opportunity to wander around before the official launch.

In a room clearly marked 'STAFF ONLY' is the weaving machines. It's sooo cool! There is a viewing deck, but it was so nice to wander around and see up close. The room is surrounded by these large bookcases where the reels of yarn for weaving are kept. When I took the photo, I realise there is nothing to highlight their scale.

They're big!

Fun night. Sticky hands from the apple mac cocktails. sore legs. Home by 12.30 midnight. Yellow t-shirt folded and ready for another day.
