Storm coming..

We had to put a big cross through all our deployment plans this morning because a storm was coming. We could see it in the distance, lightning and everything. Just a little bit is shown in this blip, I have one that shows the coming storm better, but I preferred the ominous feel to this one :)

Luckily, it never really got to us, past in the distance, the ship did not move a lot more than normal, even though the winds really picked up. I wasn't really affected and just worked on in the lab. This afternoon we get going again. Yesterday we also lost some time due to too rough seas for deployment and recovering of the AUV. Hopefully it will get better soon.. it's July after all - the weather should be great!

Edit: so at the end of the afternoon we got hail, thunder and lightning! But it has all cleared up again for the moment, just and hour or so lost. Wind is supposed to pick up overnight.. let's hope it won't, I am not looking forward to rough seas.
