Pumpanen in the jungle
Pumpanen shot in the backyard, again. This time I used a different lens, however: Jupiter-21M, which is a 200mm f/4, manual-focus russian-made lens for Zenit cameras with M42 screw mount. On GF-1 that lens gives field of view equivalent to 400mm lens on 35mm full frame camera. Quite a telephoto!
The shot was taken handheld, mind you! It is funny: because the lens is entirely made of metal and thus quite heavy, it works as a sort of stabilizer for itself. Maybe because the center of weight is much more to the front than usual. I wouldn´t dream of getting this nice 1/60th second hand-held shot on 400mm lens on a fuil frame camera such as 5D! I also feel that this was even more stable to shoot with than 85mm and 135mm lenses I have tried out in the past couple of weeks..
Oh well, this lens still is not going to make it to my everyday set, just because of the weight.. It kind of defeats the point of having a small camera ;-)
ps. the vignetting is made in Lightroom, no way this lens is vignetting on M34 mount.
