Messy Play

A wonderful day!! So much fun!! We went to the first ever session at the new children's centre near us and wow was it great! It was messy play. And it lived up to its name, big style! The playground outside and the rooms inside have been well and truly christened. There are paint footprints to prove it. Katie played in cornflakes (which she ate), sand (which she tried to eat), jelly (which she hated), pasta, paint, paper shreddings, soap flakes, custard and rice; she played with the musical instruments (not messy, until the children who'd been painting joined in!) It was wonderful!

We had lunch with her best friend and her mummy. Katie fell asleep midway through!! After a sleep, we went to a special Gruffalo Day at the library, she listened to the story, did a colouring in, laughed at her cousins when they put on their masks. Much fun was had.

And just to top it off, my little poppet has had a really really good tea and is charging around the room to Puppy Calling. Life is good.
