little reminders of home

i stopped by the farmers market on my lunch break today. not really in need of more produce in my fridge, the visit was mostly just for a little time to unwind. markets always equally relax and excite me.

these flower bunches sitting in mason jars awaiting a new home caught my eye. my mother is a sucker for cut flowers, always placing them in all sorts of places around the house. whenever i am away for a long period of time, i can always expect a vase of flowers on my bedside table when i return for a visit. a pleasant little reminder that i am home.
