There is no spoon
Not a great day. I have been waiting to get my new toy, a new mobile phone, for a few weeks. I love gadgets so was getting all excited. This happens every time I get a new gadget. I can only compare it to when I was 6 or 7 and getting to go to the local toy shop to buy a Star Wars figure. I would spend a few days working out which one to get, going over the pros and cons. Decide which one I wanted, go and get it, be all excited about getting home, then work out it was probably not the one I wanted after all.
Well my iPhone4 arrived today. I had taken the day off work especially to accept delivery. Waited in all day and it finally arrived around 4pm. Went through all the bits and bobs. Got it turned on and the screen is faulty. I had the exact same feeling I had when I realised that I should have gone for Han Solo and not Greedo. I spent an hour getting through to sales and arranging to get it replaced, still no solid word on that other than possibly in the next two days, and the rest of the day looking at reviews for the HTC Desire (possibly the Han Solo of mobile phones).
Took a bit of zen time and went out for dinner with my partner. After relaxing a bit I am reminded that, there is no spoon.
