More like dog in a stream

I can't understand the attraction of bobbing for black silty weed. I mean, bobbing for apples is bad enough, but what's the attraction in slimy stuff at the bottom of a stream?

I think the main reason is to check there is sufficient mud on her paws, sufficient that is to make tracks not only across the kitchen, but down the hall and across the lounge. On a good day they can reach to the top of the stairs too.

When confronted, she puts on the most surprised look. Who... me??? What have I done?

Maybe I ought to give her a snorkel and be done with it.
