Lerwick Lanes

Old Lerwick was built on one side of a hill but now most of it is on the other side so it's quite a climb out if you are carrying anything heavy. When I first came to the Isles there was a swimming pool on the right hand side of this lane where there is now a car park. Strange to say that the car park is much nicer to look at.
