Alnwick Garden

My last day as a teacher at my school was a happy and memorable one, spent on a year group visit to The Alnwick Garden, a project set up by the Dutchess of Northumberland several years ago. It's a child's paradise. The weather, despite a very dodgy forecast, was glorious. The children enjoyed getting soaked in the fountains and playing on the little diggers, getting lost in the maze and generally just running around the beautiful gardens, all whilst learning about different plants and also scientific concepts in the different water features. This shot shows the amazing Treehouse at Alnwick. I was enjoying myself too much to get too sad about it being my last day. I am going back in on Friday to say proper goodbyes.
