Getting big

AsI took this photo, A was busy telling me how he was allowed to use Daddy's screw driver now, because he was getting big. And he certainly is!

We have 6months left until he goes into full time schooling. Half of me - the working me- is looking forward to that day, but the mothering part of me is a little sad. So I am enjoying playing and living alongside my youngest.

This morning, he and I made strawberry jame together. I did all the hot and sharp bits, whilst he cleaned strawberries, weighed sugar, squeezed lemons, and washed the jars.
It is absolutely the way to learn, by simply being valued and included in daily jobs in and around the house.
