It's been a strange Saturday. We went into town, and for a change didn't have any bacon, eggs, burgers or chips. Instead we had very healthy sandwiches such as brie and grapes. I'm sure I'll be much healthier for it.
Later, we went off to Canons Ashby - a National Trust property in Northamptonshire. We'd been there so many times, we didn't bother to go round the house, but instead went for some blips around the garden.
The light was bluddy awful - grey, colourless and flat. There was no contrast anywhere - in fact, a typical autumn afternoon. The only saving grace was that it wasn't too cold.
I suppose the whole thing was a bit depressing really. however, I got a fairly good pic of a flower and I've decided to post that.
Earlier in the day, we leaned over a church wall watching a professional photographer at work taking wedding pics. His kit was standard film stuff with a Mamiya medium format camera on a tripod. He was taking formulaic posed shots at the time. Flick and I both reckoned that Missing and Barker would have done a much better job.
