Unstructured Sunday
Sundays are so unstructured were the words uttered from my wife this morning.
The weather looked poor and we had no idea where to go to entertain us and the troops. We then remembered Portsmouth City Museum, we had not been there for ages and there is a movie aliens exhibition on there at the moment which looked like it might be good. The museum is really handy when the weather is poor as is free, a nice walk away and you can loose an hour or so there with the little ones.
So we all set off, the troops fell asleep on the way there and not long after getting there the toddler awoke to the sound of lightsabers with a stormtrooper standing over her. She was not amused and requested we leave the exhibition. We explained that they were just dressing up outfits but she had had enough so we wandered around the rest the other exhibitions there.
Then we saw that the sun was out and so decided to get some food from the cafe there and eat in the museum gardens. Both my wife and I ordered jaket potatos which oddly came with bread rolls. I have eaten a lot of jacket spuds in my time but never with a bread roll, very strange indeed and seemed quite foreign to us. At least we know for next time and will not order lunch for the toddler as she can have the roll with some spud filling in it.
Anyway we had a good eat and run around for a few hours only for the last half hour to be ever so slightly spoilt by a rather bigoted man on the next table ranting on at whatever his lunch colleagues chose to discuss.
Interestingly he knew very well that he was due a bread roll with his spud and loudly voiced his annoyance when he thought he was not going to get one.
