Dick Turpin's Grave, York
I was down at York again this weekend for the horse racing. Our hotel was just in front of St George's RC churchyard.
This is the most famous, nay notorious internee at the yard.
"John Palmer, otherwise Richard Turpin, the notorious highwayman and horse stealer. Executed at Tyburn 17th April 1739 and buried in St Georges Churchyard"
Someone had left a bunch of tiger lillies on the grave.
