Pieter and Karolien

Ghent Festival was a mad, late night of busy streets, frantic searches for vegan food, fleeing overpriced restaurants without ordering, and sharing exceptionally bad 'lompia' on the edge of a canal, as bored-looking boat tourist guides floated past. We were there to watch Pieter's band The Wolf Banes who didn't disappoint! A 'real' rock n roll experience complete with fireworks and screaming guitar solos, all enjoyed from a swanky VIP area complete with several tiers of puppet-lined 'boxes', cute waitresses in mini skirts and (of course) belgium beer... So how did the evening end? Well after the previous night's 4am finish, by midnight you could find me crashed out on a VIP bench and when we finally left at 1.45am I was virtually comatose in the back of the car. Apologies for blipping yesterday's shot today-I don't know when we'll next have access to wifi as we're about to leave for Carolus Spa in Aachen en route to Our next gig in Bonn at Cafe Gottlich (Monday 26th)...mmmmm
