DESIGNED BY NATURE

In an area of high rain fall, Lavers Hill Victoria,
nature takes back what it gives, quite rapidly.
This is a tree stump, near the edge of the Great Ocean Rd. The interesting formation is caused by the trunk rotting away around what we know as knots in the wood, but what is actually where the branches form from the centre of the tree.
In this tree there was eight branches all at the same height around the circumference of the trunk.
