Ball Boy
You know you've had a great night out with good company when your sides are aching with laughter, you've enjoyed every morsel of food, the wine has slipped down easily and you need a strong arm to see you home.
So it was yesterday evening when his Lordship and I were out on the tiles with Mr&Mrs David77. I think I can say that a magic evening was had by all.
Needless to say it was a slightly different story this morning when I woke up feeling a tad under the weather. It seems that I can't handle more than a glass of wine at a sitting without feeling a little fragile the next day.
However breakfast improved the general malaise and eventually his Lordship and I got ourselves organised to walk into town to see the Taste of Spain exhibition at the Mound.
There was music, paella making on an industrial scale, flamboyant stilt walkers and
this lad controlling a football with amazing skill.
There was a touch of the festival about the place with hordes of tourists with guide books, cameras and general licking of ice creams. Apart from the absence of a guide book, we fitted in perfectly.
This afternoon with the bairns out on the razzle dazzle, I was intending to make a gingerbread, but here I am blipping while I watch the time trials of the Tour de France. To me there is nothing more beautiful than watching these whip thin cyclists powering along at the speed of cars or snaking along at a breath taking velocity in a pelaton..... and it has nothing to do with the lycra look.....absolutely not...... no, none at all.
I would like to thank you all for the extremely kind things said on my 365 birthday blip yesterday. I was touched to know that so many of you took the time and effort to comment.
