Silver Oak

What a surprise when I walked out to the swimming pool area this morning! I could not believe my eyes when I saw the Silver Oak in full bloom! I thought it only happens in Springtime? It is almost unbelievable how much this young tree grew in one year, it will be a year on Sunday, since we planted it! It is really a big, strong tree already!

The bees surely discovered the 'New Restaurant in Town' very fast!! There were hundreds of them, enjoying the first pollen for the season!

This was really a 'Black Friday' for South Africa today! Police reacted to a call in Witbank, Mpumalanga, where 7 robbers came through the roof of a Bakery in the very early hours of the day. It appeared to become a hostage drama and a specialist unit was ordered from Pretoria!

Two helicopters reached Witbank, the one landed close to the crime scene but the other one with 7 Police staff members on board crashed a few kilometres from Witbank, bursting into flames and killing all seven people on board! Our Police Chief, General Bheki Chele was só emotional when talking to the media tonight, he said he knew all seven policemen personally, they were dedicated and well qualified men, serving the country for many years! He had to excuse himself and walked away from the scene, clearly too emotional to say one more word!

No names were published yet, but I will pray for all involved for courage to see this night through! Deepest condolences to all the families who lost a loved one today!
