Pigeon Girl
In what seems to be 'take a photo of a random stranger Friday' (after the hat man last week), I took a wander through the sunshine (yes - the sunshine returned for an afternoon at least) up past the castle and then down Victoria Street and through the Grassmarket.
This young lady was kind enough to let me take a photo of her feeding the remnants of her lunch to the pigeons. I hate pigeons myself - just skyrats. But she seemed to get on with them fine and had even got to know one or two of them by name I think.
Apparently one of them had its legs caught up in long hair, but it was better today than earlier in the week. I can't say I've ever stuck around them long enough to recognise one from another.
[A minor piece of history - she's sitting on the site of where the public hangings took place - so in times gone by the pigeons would have fed off rather different scraps :-) ]
And I handed over another blip card. Nice to meet you ... and I'll email this over :-)
