Sunrise
Sun arise, she bring in the morning.
Sun arise, bring in the morning, fluttering her skirts all around.
Sun arise, she come with the dawning.
Sun arise, come with the dawning, spreading all the light all around.
Sun arise, on the kangaroo paw.
Sun arise, on the kangaroo paw, glistening the dew all around.
Sun arise, filling all the hollows,
Sun arise, filling all the hollows, lighting up the hills all around.
Sun arise, come with the dawning,
Sun arise, she come every day.
Sun arise, bring in the morning,
Sun arise, every, every, every, every, day.
She drive away the darkness, every day,
Drive away the darkness,
Bringing back the warmth to the ground.
Sun arise, oh, oh,
Sun arise, oh, oh,
Spreading all the light all around.
Sun arise, bring in the morning.
Sun arise, bring in the morning, spreading all the light all around.

Success! I managed to get the entire family up at 03.45 for a 2 hour drive to Cocoa Beach to watch the sunrise.
We got there just before 6am, and with sunrise at 06.45 we decided to use the facilities at the 24 hour Dunkin Donuts as well as grab a quick unhealthy (but necessary) snack, then back to the beach.
Lots of others had the same idea, and some were even sleeping on the beach so they could watch the sunrise.
About 5 minutes before the sunrise itself we noticed people were starting to appear on the pier, so we quickly ran across the sand (try doing that with a tripod & bag!) then up the rickety stairs, paid the man $1 each and started snapping.
Took about 60 seconds for the sun to rise, but i managed to get a lot of shots in. Ive uploaded some of the ones i really like to Flickr.
Once we got back, it was straight to bed for a few hours kip. Im still knackered!
Mucho respect to those landscape photographers that do these early morning jaunts regularly.
