Posing Cats
It was a very long and boring day at work today though I got a pleasant surprise this afternoon. There is a cat in the neighbourhood with some very distinct markings, who has adopted the Sobering Assessment Centre. It will often come in the front door and walk all the way through the building and out the back door to its home. If we leave the staff room door open, he will often come in and join you for lunch. Today I was outside having a break and I got my first visit from our friend. I had my camera with me and tried to get a picture of the markings on his face. In my career I have has some success at 'herding cats' but I had forgotten how difficult it is to 'pose a cat'! He definitely had a mind of his own and was not going to sit still for a picture and when I got the lens too close to him, he would put his face right up to the lens! Finally when I stopped trying to pose him and let him wander around, I was able to capture him and his markings as he was rubbing his face against the bench. Cute cat and I am sure I will have many more visits from him through the summer.
