Loch of Vestray
A beautiful day, with lots of clouds to decorate the sky without getting too much in the way of the sun.
I went to Evie in the north of Mainland. I walked to the Sound of Eynhallow and along to the iron-age broch at Gurness. Then I carried on along the shore of a small bay called The Mello to this loch. The small hill in the distance is on the isle of Gairsay. Stopped for lunch on the shore. Found that coffee and cherries go well together. On to Woodwick and Tingwall, where I caught the bus back to Kirkwall.
