Not Abbey road, but as close as monsoon Perthshire would allow today.

Floods, exploding manholes, closed roads and horrendous driving conditions......just the weather to have an international scout jamborette under canvas.

Eventually managed to speak to the boys at camp. They hadn't dissolved after all, but don't seem to have many dry clothes left.

Had a great visit with Dad, who was bouyed by the news he was going to be transferred to the hospital which will do his operation, 2 days early. He is even getting texts from some of his chums after I called some of them last night. It took one of then 45 minutes to send one, but it really seemed to be good medicine for Dad so I am pleased he took the trouble to do that.

The only problem is that instead of taking 1 hour to go visiting him, in the new hospital it will be 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

He better get better quickly.
