La vida de Annie

By Annie

Monte Toro

This is the view from the other side, away from all the communications masts. It's a bit of a steep hairpin route up the mountain, and the kids refuse to come with me in the car as they don't trust my driving (unfamiliar car, manual not auto, different side of the road etc). In fact there's nothing wrong with my driving, as I've been here often enough, but they like to keep this myth alive, and I'm happy to come up here alone to just drink in the view of most of the island in peace. The convent too is an oasis of calm, and though not religious I like to go into the chapel, light a candle and just think of those loved and lost, as well as those still with me. Here's a bit of Queen, not particularly relevant except for the Flamenco passage, courtesy of El May, that kicks in around 2mins 50. I am in Spain after all....(any excuse...)
