Happy Birthday, Derek!

Today it's Derek's 50th Birthday!

The weather was not so good today and it was pretty rough getting out to the island of Port Cros this morning. We dived a site called Pointe de Montremian which is also known as the Ski Slope. Its a sandy slope between two rocky reefs and really does look like an underwater ski slope!

The site is really scenic and at the bottom of the slope in about 30m of water is a rocky outcrop which we always swim out to and have a mooch around.

When we surfaced, the wind had really picked up and the boat was tossing about in the waves, making it very tricky to get onto and up the ladder. As a consequence, I'm now covered in bruises :-(
