I knew someone would take those elephants!

And of course it was me.

Let me explain. My uncle (also my godfather) Fred died just over a year ago, and being childless, he left his estate to his nieces and nephews.

Now, Uncle Fred had a thing about elephants. He had quite a few, and this piece always had pride of place in his window. When he passed no-one would give them a home, but I just couldn't let them be thrown away, so they came home to the north east with me, and are about to take up residence in the conservatory I have built with my portion of Uncle Freds estate.

I would like to think Uncle Fred would approve. For one thing I have had more than my share of winners on the horses since he passed away - he liked a bet did Uncle Fred. I am taking that as a thumbs up from the man himself. Cheers Fred. xx
