Just a little higher...

We have a pretty good view from the flat in most cases, but we just aren't quite tall enough to see St Mary's in the West End. This is why napoleon wants to build our sun deck in the loft space, cut out of the slate roof (identical to the ones in the photo). We could build a staircase up from our kitchen to the loft and have a whole extra room with french doors leading to the small patio, just big enough for two! What a way to really enjoy the long summer sunsets. Ah, if only.

Biggest news of the day is I finally went for a run, the first one in three weeks! For a girl that's unemployed, I really ought to have been out everyday. Alas, I have no excuses.

(And yes, that tenement did indeed have solar panels installed over the entire south side of their roof. Pretty nifty!).
