Maison Saint-Cyr
A well-known example of Brussels Art Nouveau architecture is the Maison Saint-Cyr. It was built in 1903 for the painter Georges de Saint-Cyr by architect Gustave Strauven, who was a pupil of the renowned Brussels architect Victor Horta.
Even though the Maison Saint-Cyr only has a small façade, it is a flamboyant Art Nouveau townhouse full of metal swirls and geometric figures.
Renovation works on the house already started in 2007, but unfortunately the works are still not finished.
