Out-shone

Quite a contrast to yesterday. This is about the future.

Laura was back at work today, with more to tell than tales of her fortnight in the US.

Her words painted a vivid picture of the surroundings in which her partner had popped the question, and described arriving back home to a family breakfast celebration. Quite rightly this was the in-vogue topic of conversation for the day.

I couldn't resist asking if I could take this shot- despite being sat in a large, open-plan office. Maybe I should have bothered more about the light. But take my word for this: Any sparkle I have failed to capture in the platinum band and inset stone was out-shone in real life by the unconcealed smile in the wearer's eye - no doubt anticipating good things to come.
