sky over Woodend - CHART Scarborough 3
After a grey start to the day, the sun and blue sky arrived, and it felt hotter than ever! Some great clouds and blue sky were a bonus.
I visited the Woodend Creative Workspace today, to scan some old negatives at the office of photographer Tony Bartholomew (where my Epson scanner lives), and saw this eye catching sky.... Sometimes blue sky and clouds work well in black and white.
Woodend has an interesting history, once being a private house, and features in the CHARTScarborough.com trail walk 'A Poet's View', which says of the building...
"Woodend Creative Industries Centre. [Grid ref G10] This is the
birth place of the poet Edith Sitwell (7th September 1887 to 9th
December 1964) and the home where she with her brothers,
Osbert and Sacheverell, spent parts of their childhood."
