Big Ears
Another day, another park; Animal Kingdom this time.It was extreemly hot today and yet again the swarm of locusts brazilian kids was upon us. At least this time we managed to avoid them and get some good shots and experience the place in quiet. Dont think the safari was their kind of thing as we never saw any on it.
The Safari was great, lots of shots and really interesting. Really liked the ones i took of the Giraffes sheltering from the sun in some trees, but when i got home I noticed that in all the shots the trees are covered with a very fine wire mesh that you cant see when on the tour bus which distract from the Giraffe...will see if i can photoshop away or crop out. Amazing the things the camera picks up which you dont normally see.
Saw this elephant spraying itself with mud to cool down. Like the way i managed to capture the spray of mud just as his trunk was whacked into the mud. Kids thought it was really cute and funny and pesky princess said i should use it as my blip for today so who am i to argue with a 10 year old ;)
Going to get a tripod the next couple of days and get up early and head to the east cost to see if i can get a sunrise shot...means a 4am start (at the latest) but if i do get a tripod then i might aim for fireworks at Magic Kingdom the same night or the night after as i've always wanted to take pics of fireworks but never been able...
