Mehndi*

Getting my hand Mehndi-ed at the Gerrard India Bazaar.

My sister came over after work on Friday for vanilla lattes on my porch. We made the usual clothing swaps and compared how our feet are showing wear & tear. She told me how she and PH hung a bird feeder in their backyard for cheap entertainment. I love that girl.

She had to drag herself all the way back to Bathurst and Queen to teach jiu jitsu at 6pm. She lives only a few subway stations from my place and totally did not feel like schlepping back across town in the heat, in the rush-hour. "Well, I'm committed. Thanks for the lattes, honeybunch," and off she went. I love that girl.

* The South Asia Festival's on today. I go every year and end up eating way too many pakoras. I'm still stuffed. After this shot I had to hold my hand all carefully, which wasn't easy in the crowds. I took more shots while this stuff dried, looked cool. Lots of it crumbled off on the bike ride home.
