She knows, you know
We'd cooked a lechona in the outside oven, the windows were open and television perfectly in view, and Agu had had made the trip up to watch the World Cup final with us. I suppose it was inevitable that something would go wrong, and I still suspect that the donkeys stood infront of the receiver, but as soon as the teams came out onto the field, T.V. reception failed. Agu raced down the hill with the boys to watch at home. We blippers ate the lechona and listened to the radio version and caught odd snatches of the game as we swapped channels. In fact it was a memorable game as I tried to translate the frenzied commentary and when the goal was scored, we watched the fireworks from above the valley. Magical. Agu returned the boys and reception returned in time to see the cup lifted for the thousandth time. Viva España.
