The hills are alive

Magical light on the slopes of Arthur's Seat today, as the sun fought its way through several dozen layers of cloud. Not all my photos look better big, but this one does.

Edinburgh is starting to fill up with tourists, most of them looking bemused by what passes for our summer climate. I'd love to tell them to forget the festival and come in May or June instead. At least then they wouldn't have to spend their holiday clutching an umbrella.
