memories

Sunday is funday and indeed today it was despite the heat and humidity outside. After an awesome brunch with my girls at Pancake Lounge, we headed to meet a cousin (father's sister's son) who has recently undergone surgery. My aunt is an artist and her house is full of paintings, statues, very old family books and other antiques and artifacts. I found this wall the most fascinating as it not only has pictures of our family and ancestors but also books in a book shelf. Most of these books belong to my grandfather who was an ardent reader and a scholar and had a huge collection of books. Many of them have been destroyed over a period of time but some have survived the adversaries of time and can be seen in this bookshelf.

One small corner contains history and information of atleast 4 generations ... amazing!!
