A Garden of Golden Apples in the West
At the end of a grey, rainy day in Aberdeen the evening brought with it a lift in the weather. A favourite evening walk takes us through the Loirston Nature Reserve, known locally as The Gramps. At the high point on the south side (just below the 105m trig point) of this range of small, undulating hillocks there is a view point which gives a stunning panorama of the city. It is a great place to catch a sunset and last night's was spectacular. This photo was taken just seconds after the sun had dipped below the hills to the north-west of Aberdeen. The view is towards Westhill.
