First Summer Sunrise

This was sent from my iPhone because we are away from home and vacationing on Catalina Island.

The message (sent in the body of the email), however, did not get posted. So I am now adding. The email also needed me to "okay" it and the notice to do that landed in the "junk" box of my email. At least I tried!

Here's the message that accompanies the photo:

The two of us were out of our bunk at 5:00 a.m. to head for the shoreline--across the water the mainland of California was backlit with a brilliant tangerine glow.

This photo was taken just before sun-up at 6:00.

The camp staff said it is the first sunrise they've seen this summer. This is a sight that we hope to see each time we come here--what a thrill to see it this morning.
