Kentucky Horse Park

Had a friend visit from Germany this weekend, so we went to the Kentucky Horse Park. I had never visited myself, even after four years here. Now, I want to shake myself and ask, what were you thinking?! What an amazing place!! Check it out here.

We got there really late and saw the exhibit called "A Gift from the Desert" which was pretty neat. We also visited the American Saddlebred Museum, which, while not as big or interesting (to me) as the other exhibit, was still good. In between the two museums we walked a bit and saw nine horses in various paddocks who were kind enough to allow us to visit with them. These are two of the nine we saw, but they were the biggest cards of the bunch. So willing to be cute for us and for our cameras.

Next time I need a dose of peace and horsesense, I know where I'm going. Hell, you can even go horseback riding!!! One more reason why I need a grown-up job...
