Mettawa Manor
went for a 1 day mini photo trip/workshop to a beautiful estate not that far from where I live/ 68 acres with a house built in 1927. A well known Chicagoan, Bill Curtis own this land and home and have lovingly restored the landscape.
The workshop was to get a change to photograph the gardens and prairie's, but they started it at 9am and we did not get a chance to photograph till around 10:30 am. Most serious photographers know that in the summer the sun is very high at this time and it is Not a good time to get any decent images.
Had a nice time any way.
this is an iphone image of part of the formal gardens near the manor.
I used apps to change the appearance of a blown out photo into something softer.
