tour de Staveley wins through

Wet, windy day (again) and we had a 28 mile bike ride to undertake.

We had decided to take part in the 'Tour de Staveley' (a homage to THE TOUR) and bought these two along - our eldest kids.

It is a fantastic course winding itself through some of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District National Park - we just had to put up with heavy rain, wind and roads covered with tree debris after our recent storm.

Then the sun came out, the big climbs were over and it was downhill to the food and wine at the end. Bliss.

I promise that even though this is a picture of the kids at the beginning - they still looked like this at the end!
