A load of bull.

Sculpted by Galashiels artist Angela Hunter, this statue depicts William of Rule who 'turned the bull' and saved the life of King Robert the Bruce, so leading to the origin of the famous name.

As reward for his deed of bravery, William of Rule was knighted Sir Turn e Bull.


We had lunch at the Towermill in Hawick, went to look at the statue and get the bonus of seeing a Heron fishing for his own lunch.
