I took a lot of fun pictures that I liked yesterday...was worried that I would have a hard choice. Then I saw this one.

October's theme is contrast - high contrast, low contrast, whatever. I'll be thinking about it. This is not only by far the most interesting picture I took yesterday, it's also perfect for my theme.

I'm not planning to stick with the theme for every day this month, and I have a few other things planned, but I'm interested in looking at things this way for a while.

Also, I'll be wrapping up the last few days of September soon...like I've said a few times before, taking pictures every day isn't hard -- in fact, it's become almost instinctive -- but posting and writing every day is. As time goes by, I expect to post more in chunks.

BTW, that is a balloon string on the right side of the shot...I'll clone it out for the "permanent" version of this shot, but I doubt I'll bother for the blip post.
