Magpie Defeat

We returned from our trip to London yesterday, to find one of the fat block holders on the ground and the other partially removed from its hanger. Both were empty.

Having refilled them, during the morning we noticed magpies landing on the brackets and trying to pull them off. So BA has decided to hang them both from the brackets with string to stop the larger birds from feeding here. The magpies are now under surveillance.

Our peanut feeder was also emptied in the week we were away. After filling it this morning, a family of great tits moved in for a feasting session. I will be getting the tripod out for a photo session, as there were at least five on it at once this morning.
