View from The Royal Observatory, Greenwich, London
- Backblip - London Day 4.
We spent part of the day in the Tower of London, viewing the Crown Jewels and the treasures in the White Tower. I could have blipped a Beefeater, or the ravens being fed. Quite special to see the crowns, orbs and diamonds.
We then took a ride on the DLR (Docklands Light Railway), and stopped off at Canary Wharf for a wander around as we hadn't been here before. Very impressed by the new buildings and water features. Loads of Blip ops here too.
Back onto the DLR and down to Greenwich, to check out the Meridian Line, and enjoy this view across the city at 7.10 pm. I like the evening light on the buildings across the Thames on the Isle of Dogs. The Gherkin building at 30 St Mary's Axe stands out due to it's unusual shape.
