Gran

I have spent most of this morning dusting and sorting out. I have an overwhelming urge to throw some things out. I find that every now and again you find belongings you forgot you owned; that have become redundant and are therefore easy to part with. On the other hand, there are belongings you simply can't part with even though you don't use them.

Whilst sorting out I came across this beautifully handmade, floral embroidered clutch purse, a pearl choker necklace and silk, crochet fingerless gloves that I inherited from my Gran. Even though I never saw her use any of these items herself, I always imagine her at a special occasion dinner or dance wearing/use them. I have never used them myself. Every time I find them again, I try the gloves on & necklace and wonder if I ever will. I hope I do. I certainly won't be parting with them as they evoke happy memories. : )
