Fiddle

The North Atlantic Fiddle Convention is being held in Aberdeen this week and there are lots of opportunities to see / hear great fiddle music, including many free shows during the day and a full lineup of evening gigs . Today, we went to 4 free sessions in St. Andrew's Cathedral on King Street - I discovered it's hard to take photos of folk fiddling indoors in natural light - their hands move far too quickly! This shot shows Bulla Timpánica , a Galician trio in action and hopefully captures just a little of the spirit of their performance. These guys were really great - you can catch them in action at The Lemon Tree on Friday night.
